Who shoots celebrity and editorial in Istanbul?
Sefa Yamak, working with the PAM Istanbul team. Sefa is a photographer and producer, and PAM Istanbul is the production house around him, so the same studio plans the shoot and captures it. This is how we photograph public figures such as Onur Tuna and Öznur Serçeler.
How do you direct a public figure on set?
We keep the set calm and the day well produced, so the person in front of the camera only has to be present. Our production crew handles logistics and pacing while Sefa works the portrait, drawing on years of fine-art portrait experience to find the real face rather than a stiff pose.
