Untitled Portraits — Nepal / 06Tilted World
Close color portrait, framed at a tilt, of a man with an intricately painted face in orange, green and white, surrounded by artificial flowers and beads — fine art portrait by Sefa Yamak, Nepal series.

Kathmandu, Nepal · 2017

Tilted World

I tipped the frame on purpose, or maybe I just leaned in too close and it came out that way.

This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.

His face was painted in dense little marks, oranges and greens over white, and the flowers crowded in from every side. One eye held mine. The cobbled ground shows up in the corner, the only flat thing in the picture.
