The Crown of Faces
The headdress was the tallest I saw, built up with painted faces and two brass bells hanging at the sides.
// Story
This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.
His own face was orange and white, and he rested a ring-heavy hand against his beard. He held the pose without much fuss. Behind him the brick wall was a plain warm red, which kept all the color in the foreground.
