Light in the Hood
Only one side of the light reached the child's face, and the hood swallowed the rest.
// Story
This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.
The smile broke through anyway, two front teeth showing. Everything around the face was black. I waited for the grin to come and pressed once.
