Behind the Bars
Iron bars crossed the window of a worn workshop.
// Story
This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.
A young man leaned out over the sill, looking down at something small in his hands. Beside him sat an old flat-iron and a little bowl on the chipped plaster. The wall was peeling everywhere. I shot through the bars and let them stay in the frame.
