Untitled Portraits — Anatolia — Black / 14Snow on the Wool
Black and white portrait of a man in a snow-flecked knit beanie and hooded coat leaning in low over a snowy ground, light catching one side of his face — fine art portrait by Sefa Yamak, Anatolia series.

Anatolia, Turkey · 2017

Snow on the Wool

Snow had caught in the wool of his hat and on his coat, and he leaned in low toward me out of the white ground.

This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.

The light hit one side of his face and left the other in shadow. It was cold and he was still half-smiling.
