Through Glass
I saw her through a window with the street printed across her face in reflection.
This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.
It is a second picture I couldn't have set up if I tried, the glass laying one image over another. She wasn't looking at me. She was looking past, out at something beyond the window. I kept still so the reflection wouldn't shift, and took it through the glass the way I found it.
