Three on the Water
The three of them sat down and arranged themselves without me asking, as if they'd done this before.
This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.
The morning was hazy and the ghats behind looked far away, almost dissolved. They talked among themselves and mostly ignored the camera, which is usually when I get the frame I want. One kept glancing at the city across the water.
