Untitled Portraits — Anatolia — Black / 11The Wet Street
Black and white portrait of a smiling older man in a flat cap and a light jacket, a wet town street with people fading behind him — fine art portrait by Sefa Yamak, Anatolia series.

Anatolia, Turkey · 2017

The Wet Street

He smiled before I was ready, and I kept that frame.

This story imagines, it does not document. It is what the photograph made me feel.

The street behind him was wet and the town was carrying on. He has a thin moustache and a few days of stubble, and he met me halfway without any fuss.

— Sefa Yamak, Rize. Anatolia series.
